The recent ransomware attacks on healthcare facilities and clinics - primarily in the UK, but increasingly across the world - have highlighted the need to be careful with respect to practices and behaviors in your clinic that you can implement in order to protect your practice and data.
As imagined, loss of access to your clinical data can be devastating. In a purely EMR-based practice, if you have no access, lives can be placed at risk, operations disrupted and practices placed at risk of financial ruin - particularly if the data is not retrieved.
